Location of some public transport stops on Matīsa and Brīvības streets to change as of October 27

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that as of October 27 several public transport stops will change their location. These changes will affect the public transport stops located in Merķeļa Street and at the beginning of Brīvības Boulevard – „Merķeļa Street” (there will be three stops instead of four), „Inženieru Street”, „Brīvības Boulevard” and „Tērbatas Street”.

See the distribution of public transport routes at stops in Merķeļa Street and Brīvības Boulevard as of 27.10.2014.

The previous location of the public transport stops was not optimal enough and often caused inconveniences to passengers, because public transport going in the same direction stopped at different stops. The changes were preceded by research of passengers’ habits of using public transport, proposals of residents were also taken into account.

"Rīgas satiksme" urges those passengers who use buses No. 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 21, 24, 30, 40, 50, 57 and trolleybuses No. 3, 12, 14, 17, 19, 24 on a daily basis to pay particular attention to these changes. Information about the changes in location of public transport stops will be available at  www.rigassatiksme.lv, as well as at public transport stops.
